about this blog

So if you have read my story so far I gave a brief overview of how I came to be where I am now. A bit boring I know but I thought I would just fill everybody in on the fact I'm no expert when it comes to permaculture, or many other topics to be honest.

Moving forward and why I've started this blog is to share my own Journey into the whole permaculture world. the last few years I've been quite immersed in learning about permaculture but it’s not until you have attended a PDC, Permaculture Design Course that you can truly use the word permaculture in your projects. So what better time to start blogging regularly and to invite people to see how my own life is changing for the better or how my life took a turn for the worst after I have taken a PDC this coming June of 2014.

Lots of people who have taken a PDC seem to come back after the experience saying not only how enjoyable it was but how they are a changed person all for the better. Well time will tell, you also won’t find out until you do a PDC so here I go and like I say I invite you all along for the ride.

In this blog I'm not going to be writing entries and posting videos to show you how to do things correctly, I'm here to share my mistakes, my randomness and our allotment with everybody in the hope that it will all come together and I can run away with my girlfriend Carrie to live in small house amongst the trees surrounded by food forests and hugelkultur’s, whilst on weekends we can go in the boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Yeah perhaps not the house in the trees after all living in England has more random laws than I have random thoughts. Basically if you have come to this page to learn the correct way to do things you would be wise to splash this blog away from you as you would that random floating item that often appears next to you in the sea and won’t leave you alone. So if you would like to learn from the experts I wish you well as there is a shortfall of them here with me.

If you are one of those people who collect great pleasure from watching people do things wrong then I kind of welcome you with a certain caution to this blog on my behalf.

On the other hand if you just want to see how I fair in my permaculture adventures then we welcome you friends. Let’s enjoy our time together and more importantly let’s get growing whilst we can.

one more thing...

I have one little confession to make, I have a fancy camera with a macro lens, yes we are kind of getting into a geeky area here but I love taking photos of insects and other random things. It’s not something to be proud of I know, in fact I feel a little embarrassed having to mention it but the blog will contain a lot of photography all of which unless stated otherwise will be my own work and let’s just say expect massive insect photos.

So once again welcome fellow random souls, our journey together has already begun
